Jastram GmbH & Co KG is an internationally recognized company in the marine engineering and equipment market. Carl Jastram founded the business over 100 years ago and it is still family owned today. During the first sixty years Jastram manufactured thousands of engines and pumps for the marine industry. In the 1950s the company focused on vessel manoeuvring starting with the development and production of bow thrusters. Success led to rapid expansion into rudder propellers, high efficiency rudders and azimuth waterjet systems. A full range of complimentary electronic control and monitoring devices was added as well as sales and repair service for marine turbochargers and special equipment. A team of well-trained engineers, a fully stocked and readily available spare parts inventory, and 24-hour worldwide service provides complete system reliability for any marine application. More than 3000 Jastram manoeuvring systems are in use today in nearly every corner of the world.
